Foundation C.G. Jung Institutes Logo The Foundation's logo is designed around the image of a labyrinth, a symbol which dates back to cave paintings in prehistoric times and which has been associated with initiatory processes and spiritual transformation. In Christian churches in Europe, labyrinths were constructed symbolically to embody the path of the faithful - a path which, though maze-like, can be followed through the world of sin to arrive at last at the sacred Center. That center was often identified with the Holy City of Jerusalem, or with Heaven itself. The particular labyrinth image that you see here has long been associated with the journal, Analytische Psychologie. The Foundation wishes to thank S. Karger AG, publishers of the journal, for granting the Foundation permission for its use.
